Founded in Trois-Rivieres,
Quebec, our Institute wishes to be wherever Christ has
rights, wherever men and women need the salvation of Jesus
Christ and his Word of Life. That is why as early as 1959
Canadian members left for Laos to help those Christians
proclaim the Gospel to their own people.
Our institute is barely forty years old, but its members are
to be found in twelve countries: Dominican Republic, French
Guiana, USA, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Ecuador, Canada, Mexico,
Haiti, India, Cuba and Laos. Such an expansion cannot be
explained other than by the countless divine blessings that
have nourished the dynamic vitality of this Christian family
that seeks to group together Christians of every age from
every country and every walk of life. Built upon a solid
foundation, the foundation of Christianity itself, the
Institute has the capacity to adapt to everyone. Each new
member, each new team, each new country having Voluntas Dei
members shows once again the richness of our Christian way
of life.

I hope this short summary of
our life as Voluntas Dei's will help keep very much alive
the life of 'old' members and that it will help newcomers
discover even better the riches of this our dear Christian
family. This summary will also be an in instrument, however
imperfect it may be, to introduce our Institute to others.
